(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police are looking for information about the shooting of a woman on the northeast side of Indianapolis Monday evening.
Investigators say the woman, who hasn't been identified, was found shot in the leg and possibly the hand in the 3600 block of N. Dearborn Street around 7 p.m. She was taken to Wishard Hospital in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to serious condition.
Witnesses gave officers at the scene a clothing description on the suspected shooter. A man matching the suspect's clothing description was later spotted at the intersection of 36th and Olney and was taken into custody for questioning.
