(INDIANAPOLIS) - The mom at the center of the Fishers Amber Alert will await trial at her parents’ house in Kentucky after being released Thursday.
Jennifer Ansari is facing up to three years in prison and a $10,000 fine after reportedly taking her 8-year-old daughter, Sophia, from Fishers to Kentucky after receiving word that she was losing custody to her ex-husband.
In an agreement reached Thursday, Ansari's bond was reduced from $500,000 to $15,000, and arrangements were made for her to live at her parents' Louisville home.
As part of the agreement, Ansari will not be permitted to go outside Jefferson County, Ky., or Clark County, Ind., and she will also have a mental health assessment.
Negotiations are still underway to decide whether or not the case will go to trial.
