(MUNCIE) - Ball State University’s student government president is resigning after he wrote Twitter posts with degrading comments toward Chinese people and culture.
Malachi Randolph apologized Wednesday for the comments he posted a day earlier to his personal account. Randolph tells The Ball State Daily News he was stressed and frustrated with his boss, who is Asian.
Randolph has since deleted the tweets. Randolph took office in April as Student Government Association president at the 18,000-student campus in Muncie.
Ball State spokesman Tony Proudfoot says Randolph doesn't face any disciplinary action because his comments didn't violate any laws or university policies.
