(AUBURN) - A 1930 Duesenberg sold for more than $1 million this weekend at a long-running classic car auction in northeastern Indiana, with two others coming close.
The crowd at Auctions America's sale in Auburn roared with applause when the 1930 Duesenberg Model J Convertible Coupe sold for $1.4 million.
The Star of Auburn reports that other top sellers on Saturday included a 1929 Model J Sport Sedan that drew $875,000 and a 1935 Model SJ selling for $780,000.
Keith Koscak of Auctions America tells The Journal Gazette that the top-priced car was owned by Canadian collector Ross McEachran but declined to disclose the buyer.
