(EDINBURGH) - Thirty-two duplex trailers that had been used as temporary offices and sleeping quarters at the Indiana National Guard’s Camp Atterbury are being auctioned online, with bids starting at $25.
The Daily Journal reports the auction this week is the first of four designed to sell a total of 134 mobile homes.
The mobile homes haven't been needed in more than two years. They include three-bedroom, one-bathroom dwellings.
The trailers were used when 20,000 troops deployed from Camp Atterbury each year.
The installation's mission has changed as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan wind down, and only 5,000 troops are expected to deploy from the site this year.
The post near Edinburgh is now used primarily to train active and reserve units.
The auction ends at 8 p.m. Friday.
