(UNION CITY) - Investigators believe four youths between the ages of 10 and 13 are to blame for the theft of offering money from an eastern Indiana church.
Union City police say officers caught a 13-year-old on Tuesday soon after staff members at Wesley United Methodist Church saw the juvenile trying to enter a window.
The Star Press reports police determined the teen was among those who broke into the church after Sunday's services and stole about $100 in cash and $3,000 in checks.
Police arrested one 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl on burglary and theft charges. Two girls, ages 10 and 11, were released to their parents as prosecutors consider charges.
They are all from the city about 30 miles east of Muncie or adjoining Union City, Ohio.
