(WHITE CO.) - The northbound lanes of Interstate 65 in White County, just north of Lafayette, were shut down early this morning after a crash involving two semis, Indiana State Police said.
The crash happened at about 1:30 a.m. on I-65 at mile marker 187 near the Brookston/Fowler exit when a semi pulling double trailers burst into flames.
ISP said they expect all northbound lanes to be shut down for several hours as crews work to clear the scene.
Drivers who are traveling north of Lafayette during the morning commute were advised to find alternate routes.
At least one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
