(NORTH VERNON) - A man has been arrested after police say he shot and killed a Jennings County man Monday afternoon.
Police say 57-year-old Donald Ray Williams from Commiskey shot and killed 24-year old Jeremy Moore from North Vernon outside Moore's home on Franklin Street.
The Jennings County coroner says Moore was shot in the chest Monday and dead upon arrival at a hospital.
Police tell Eyewitness News the two were fighting outside just before the shooting. A neighbor heard a single shot, then saw Moore on the ground with the other man standing over him waving his arms frantically. Police didn't release details about the argument in the 7,000-person city about 50 miles south of Indianapolis.
Williams is currently being held in the Jennings County jail facing a preliminary charge of reckless homicide.
