(TELL CITY) - Authorities say a suspect wanted for robbing banks in several states has been captured.
WFIE reports that it is believed 49-year-old Ronald Corbin was the gunman who robbed the German American Bank in Tell City back in July.
After two months of investigations across three separate states, Corbin, a suspected serial bank robber, was finally arrested Tuesday in Urbana, Illinois.
Authorities say he robbed another bank in Urbana.
When Tell City Detective Alan Malone saw the images of Corbin and 58-year-old Dennis Gallivan arrested in Urbana, he recognized Corbin.
"The ball started rolling," said Malone. "I've received a phone call that one of the suspects appears to be the same suspect in mine."
The FBI believes Corbin has been involved in three bank robberies in Illinois, two in Indiana, and six in Ohio.
Malone believes Corbin will face federal charges.
