(LAFAYETTE) - Police in Lafayette say a man driving high on meth caused a deadly crash Sunday morning.
It happened around 5:30 near Valley Street and Mary Hill Road.
28-year-old Jerry Ford is in jail facing several felony charges.
Investigators say he was speeding and had meth in his system when he crashed into a tree.
One of his passengers, 26-year-old Roxie Raejean died in the crash.
Another passenger was treated and released from the hospital.
