(TIPTON CO.) - Two people are dead and one was sent to the hospital after a Saturday crash in Tipton County, officials said.
Tipton County officials said a serious crash was reported Saturday at County Road 300 South west of County Road 100 East.
Investigators said when they arrived, they found two passenger cars had collided nearly head-on. Both drivers were killed instantly, officials said.
Those two drivers were Ryan A. Teter, 32, of Tipton, and Donnie K. Neal, 62, of Greenfield.
Donnie Neal's passenger, Brenda K. Murray, 63, of Greenfield, survived but was transported to IU Tipton Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators said Teter was not wearing a seat belt.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. Assisting the sheriff's office at the scene were the Tipton Police Department, Indiana State Police, Seals Ambulance, Cicero Township Fire Department, Madison Township Fire Department and Tipton County Emergency Management.
