(INDIANAPOLIS) - Each year hundreds of thousands of people from around the world embrace the magical month of May in Indianapolis.
Last year alone, more than 500,000 people attended 500 Festival events.
Now in its 57th year, the Festival continues to capture the significance of this month-long celebration both for the community and race fans world-wide. Today, the 500 Festival announced the theme for its 2014 season is "Feel the Rhythm of May."
"Whether the sounds of feet hitting the pavement, engines revving, bands playing, kids laughing or the cacophony of a parade, the month of May brings energy and vitality to our community every year," said Bob Bryant, President & CEO of the 500 Festival.
"The 500 Festival is proud to play its part in supporting the whole Indiana community as we 'Feel the Rhythm of May' together and we invite everyone to kick it up a notch this season. A great way to get started is to register now for the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and then join in the 500 Festival Training Series, presented by OrthoIndy to ensure that we all hit the ground running and find our rhythm before next May."
