(EVANSVILLE) - A Tri-State woman has been found guilty in conspiring to steal thousands from a local organization.
Authorities say 81-year-old Marilee Garrison, the former treasurer of the Eastern Star, has been found guilty of conspiring with her daughter to steal nearly $300,000 from the organization.
Garrison's daughter, Susan Hilgeman, was already sentenced to 36 months after she was found guilty of stealing the money and filing false tax returns.
Garrison will be sentenced on November 5. The crime is a C felony and she is facing up to eight years in prison.
