(MOROCCO) - Firefighters from several departments needed more than two hours to put out a blaze that destroyed a business in a small northwestern Indiana town.
The fire broke out Sunday night at the JB Laundry Services building in the Newton County town of Morocco.
Morocco Fire Chief Corrie Myers tells WLFI-TV that heavy black smoke was coming from the building when crews first arrived. Myers says the building had several interior walls that made it difficult to extinguish the fire.
Myers says nobody was inside at the time of the fire in the 1,100-person town about 50 miles northwest of Lafayette. The building was declared a total loss. A cause for the fire wasn't immediately determined.
