(WARSAW) - Authorities say human remains found in northern Indiana over the weekend are those of an 18-year-old woman missing for more than a year.
The Kosciusko County coroner's office says a forensic examination of the skeletal remains determined they belonged to Aurora Shoemaker of Warsaw.
She lived in a nearby mobile home park and was last seen in August 2012 after leaving her mother's home for a walk. Young people discovered the remains Sunday while playing in a wooded area near Warsaw
County Coroner Michael Wilson says the cause of Shoemaker's death hasn't yet been determined.
