(WARSAW) - Authorities say a northern Indiana man died after being crushed by a skid loader he was operating at his home.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says 65-year-old John Elliott was working Sunday evening at his farm near Warsaw when his clothing apparently became caught on a lever. He was found trapped between the hydraulic bucket arms and the machine's main body.
Elliott's wife told police she found him trapped about 7 p.m. after he left the house an hour earlier and didn't return for dinner.
The county coroner pronounced him dead at the scene from blunt-force trauma to the chest.
