(CLEVELAND, Ohio) - A longtime Cleveland, Ohio priest, who previously worked in Indiana, has been arrested for soliciting sex.
Father James McGonegal allegedly offered an off-duty park ranger in plain clothes $50 for sex.
Investigators say the 68 year old priest also confided he is HIV positive, which means he will face more serious, felony charges.
McGonegal has been a priest at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church in Cleveland for more than 30 years.
The church website says he previously studied at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, and taught Liturgy across the street at Saint Mary's College.
