(WINSLOW) - A Winslow woman was found shot in her home Tuesday night after police were dispatched to a domestic dispute with shots fired at about 11 p.m.
Matthew Crane of the Dubois County Free Press reports that when officers arrived at 104 South Bluff Street in Winslow they entered the residence and found Christopher Morton, 32, in the kitchen holding a handgun in one hand and a beer can in the other. Morton refused to drop the gun and Trooper John Davis deployed his Taser to subdue him. Police then took Morton into custody without further incident.
Officers continued their search and found Kelsie McDonald, 24, in the living room. She had been shot and was unconscious. Officers immediately initiated CPR and emergency medical personnel were notified.
