(LOUISVILLE, KY.) - Customers may be able to enjoy a brew when they visit the zoo.
A spokeswoman for the Louisville Zoo says they hope to start selling beer in the concession areas and liquor during special events.
Zoo leaders say this would cut down their reliance on Metro government funding. Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer's spokesperson says the mayor supports the zoo's plan to sell beer. A new concessions deal will now give the zoo 20 percent of concession sales.
