(NOBELSVILLE) - Noblesville ranks number four on Movoto.com’s top ten list of ‘best small cities to move to’ in the United States.
The real estate blog considered cost of living, crime, median household income, unemployment rate, median home price and homes for sale per capita. Movoto collected data from about 100 cities with less than 60,000 people.
Movoto sources the U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, FBI, and its own real estate market data for the statistics. The cities were first ranked from 1 to 100 in each individual criterion, with 1 being best, then these scores were averaged to produce a final ranking.
According to Movoto, Noblesville's crime rate is 38 percent below the national average. The cost of living however, is seven points higher than the rest of the country's average. Household income is above average by 27 percent, the median home price is six percent below the national average and there is one home on the market for every 84 residents.
Movoto also points out the unemployment rate in Noblesville is less than the national average at 6.4 percent.
Rowlett, Texas ranks number one on the list.
