(COLUMBUS) - The death of a woman on the west side of Columbus has led the Columbus Police Department to activate the multi-agency death investigation team.
Police are searching for 36-year-old Ryan Allen Klug, of Columbus. Klug is a resident of the complex. Police are calling him a person of interest in this case. Klug may be driving a 2008 Subaru, grey in color, with a Indiana registration plate of 357BPC.
Anyone with information on Klug's whereabouts are asked to contact law enforcement.
Columbus Public Safety spokesman Lt. Matt Myers says the woman, identified as being early to middle aged, was found in an apartment on the city's west side Tuesday afternoon.
Officers with the Columbus Police Department were called to the apartment after employees of the apartment complex found the unresponsive woman. Myers says paramedics along with other first responders arrived on the scene and were quickly able to determine that the woman was dead.
Officers immediately secured the apartment, police detectives were called to the scene and the death investigation team was activated. Myers says the death investigation team consists of the Columbus Police Department, Indiana State Police, Bartholomew County Sheriff's Office, Bartholomew County Prosecutor's Office and the Bartholomew County Coroner's Office.
