(INDIANAPOLIS) - Police said they’ve arrested three men for their involvement in last month’s robbery that involved tying up an 82-year-old woman in the basement of her home and leaving her there for days.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said Monday that detectives had arrested three men who have been linked to the Oct. 28 robbery in the 300 block of North Jefferson Avenue.
On that day in October, construction workers heard shouts coming from the woman's home and went inside to find her tied up and gagged in the basement. Police said she had been there for at least two days.
The woman told investigators men had forced their way into her house, robbed her and tied her up. This week, IMPD said they've caught a few men who may be linked to the case.
IMPD arrested Bobby Dunn, 36; William Tipton, 25; and Larry Whitaker, 19 -- all of Indianapolis. The Marion County Prosecutor's Office charged each of them with two counts of forgery, one count of theft and one count of attempted theft.
