(TERRE HAUTE) - Authorities say two women told investigators they were trying to clean up their Terre Haute home’s basement before police were called about the death of a man found there wrapped in a blanket and a tarp.
The women face obstruction of justice charges, but no one has yet been arrested for causing the death of 32-year-old Ronald Arrowsmith.
The Tribune-Star reports court documents say the 53-year-old woman heard gunshots on Friday and found her 33-year-old daughter and Arrowsmith's body in the basement.
The younger woman told police that other people were in the house before she suffered a head injury that left her unconscious for a while. Police say the women tried to clean up blood stains and threw away shell casings before Arrowsmith's girlfriend came looking for him.
