(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Metropolitan police confirm that the three-year-old who was shot in the head and later died pulled the loaded gun off a counter when it went off.
Police are still looking into the circumstances of the shooting in the 1800 block of 68th Street, just north of Broad Ripple Park.
The child's parents and a four-year-old sister were in the home at the time of the shooting.
The boy was transported to Riley Hospital for Children but passed away late Saturday evening.
