(NEW ALBANY) - A large fire destroyed a southern Indiana restaurant, with flames soaring high through the roof as it burned.
Authorities say the fire broke out late Monday at Sam's Food & Spirits in New Albany.
Police tell the News and Tribune that no one was inside at the time and no injuries were immediately reported. It took firefighters about three hours to put out the fire, after an alarm came in from a kitchen sensor.
Restaurant owner Sam Anderson says he'll somehow figure out how to reopen but that he's disappointed for his workers and customers as the restaurant was set to host many Christmas parties.
