(INDIANAPOLIS) - President Barack Obama has appointed an Indiana University law professor to a panel that promotes regional environmental cooperation and enforcement of national environmental laws among the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Obama on Friday appointed Eric Dannenmaier of the Indiana University Robert McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis to the Joint Public Advisory Committee of the North American Commission for Environmental Cooperation
The commission was created as part of the North American Free Trade Agreement among the three nations in 1994. The Joint Public Advisory Committee includes five members from each county who advise a council comprised of cabinet-level environmental officers from each country.
