(CROWN POINT) - A Gary man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for fatally stabbing a Michigan woman whose body was found in a nature preserve.
27-year-old Cadereo Jester agreed to the sentence in a plea deal in which pleaded guilty to murder. Jester admitted that he killed 23-year-old Christine Arnold of New Buffalo, Michigan, in July 2011 in Gary following a dispute.
The Times of Munster reports that Jester admitted to disposing of Arnold's body and her car at the Ivanhoe Dune and Swale Nature Preserve.
Arnold's body was found the same day in the backseat of her still-running car, which had crashed through the gate at the Lake County site that's owned by the Nature Conservancy.
