(BUCKSKIN) - There were no injuries Sunday afternoon when an oil well exploded in Gibson County.
The Princeton Daily Clarion reports an oil well with three storage tanks exploded near Buckskin.
Black smoke could be seen for miles away.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
However, fire officials say a spark from a battery located at the site might have touched off the blast.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management was contacted after some burning oil ran into a nearby creek.
