(NORTH VERNON) - A North Vernon man was arrested on drug charges Monday after authorities in Jennings County received a complaint about the man allegedly selling marijuana.
Maj. Jerry Shepherd, with the Jennings County Sheriff's Office, says 27-year-old Billy Cummins was arrested and charged with felony possession and dealing in marijuana after officers acting on a tip contacted on duty Sgt. Dave Turner, who was able to find Cummins and his vehicle.
Shepherd says Cummins was found to be in possession of $700 in cash and almost a pound of marijuana.
Cummins was lodged in the Jennings County Jail on felony bond.
