(UNDATED) - He’s won a Super Bowl, faced down the blitz and returned to football after multiple procedures on his neck, but Peyton Manning’s greatest challenge may be surviving an interview with Ron Burgundy.
The Denver Broncos quarterback will endure questioning from the legendary TV broadcaster on an upcoming segment of ESPN'S SportsCenter.
The full interview is scheduled to air Thursday night on ESPN, but the sports network posted a preview on its YouTube page.
In it, Burgundy--played by comedian Will Ferrell--grills Manning about his relationship with Thunder (the Denver Broncos' mascot) and commends him for achieving so much success on the field without a mustache.
"You are one of the great quarterbacks playing the game today. You've had a lot of success, and yet you've done it all without a mustache," Burgundy says. He also tells Manning "you look like a succulent baby lamb."
"I think I've managed to play quarterback okay without a mustache," Manning responds before poking fun at his younger brother Eli. "Eli tried to grow one a little while back without much success, I must say."
The interview is promoting the movie Anchorman 2, which is scheduled to open in theaters on Dec. 18.
