(UNDATED) - Indiana Senator Joe Donnelly says he is happy with the two-year budget agreement passed by the Senate.
Donnelly voted in support of the budget deal, unlike his Indiana counterpart in the Senate, Dan Coats.
Donnelly says he understand's Senator Coats' desire for a long-term deal. However, he says something needed to be done to keep things moving today.
Donnelly says he is happy with how hard both sides of the aisle worked to reach this agreement. He says now, Congress can move forward and continue to reduce the deficit and create certainty so businesses can make decisions on purchasing equipment, making investments and moving jobs forward.
Donnelly says he'll do everything he can to make sure there are no changes to it.
