(HANCOCK CO.) - Lanes were closed for more than an hour Saturday afternoon on I-70 West in Hancock County near mile marker 98 after reports of a person being thrown from a vehicle.
The official INDOT Twitter account posted the road closure just after 4 p.m. due to a crash.
The Hancock Sheriff's Dept. confirmed that a 17-year-old girl had thrown herself out of a moving vehicle after having an argument with her mother. The girl suffered injuries to the lower portion of her body and was Lifelined to Methodist hospital.
Police said the girl was conscious and alert.
