(WEST LAFAYETTE) - The attorney for the young man charged with murder in Purdue shooting this week is speaking out.
Robert Gevers II says he's waiting to hear back from the Tippecanoe County Prosecutor's Office on their latest findings in the case.
A tentative trial date has been set for April 22nd. The court entered a not-guilty plea on Cousins' behalf Thursday.
Gevers says it's too early to even speculate about the case.
He says Cousins' family extends its condolences to the Boldt family.
Prosecutors and police say Cousins stabbed and shot 21-year-old Andrew Boldt during a class inside Purdue's Electrical Engineering Building in West Lafayette Tuesday.
