(UNDATED) - Bitterly cold temperatures have settled in across Indiana—not a good time to be without power, but the winter storm that hit the state Sunday left many in the dark.
IPL reported just over 26,000 outages this morning.
Duke Energy says approximately 9,400 outages remain statewide, with the highest concentration around Central and southwest Indiana.
Duke had at one point about 20,000 customers affected by power outages from Sunday's heavy, wet snow. That severe weather could slow slowing power restoration for many customers.
