Man Sought In Connection With Xbox One Theft At GameStop Store

Last updated on Friday, January 10, 2014

(SPEEDWAY) - Speedway police are looking for a man who robbed a GameStop store two days ago.

FOX59 reports that the man walked into the GameStop at 5662 Crawfordsville Rd. around 9 p.m. on Jan. 7, approaching the counter to ask if he could buy an Xbox One video game console. When the clerk came back with one of the systems, the man demanded that the clerk give it to him.

"I'm gonna be real with you: this is a stick up," the man said. He walked behind the counter, grabbed the Xbox One and then left the store. He didn't display a weapon, police said.

Police have released surveillance pictures of the man, who wore a baseball cap and had a tattoo on his neck.

Investigators were also seeking two men who stole several PlayStation 4 consoles from an Indianapolis GameStop location in November.
