(WAYNESVILLE) - The lone suspect in the Waynesville murders is back in Bartholomew County.
Maj. Todd Noblitt with the Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department says deputies drove to Marion County Thursday afternoon to pick up 55-year-old Samual E. Sallee. He was taken in to custody at 1:30 p.m. By 2:25 p.m. Sallee was back in Bartholomew County, where he was read the charges facing him by Sheriff Mark Gorbett.
Sallee is facing four counts of murder for the May 11 slayings. He is accused of shooting and killing 53-year-old Katherine Burton, 39-year-old Thomas W. Smith, 41-year-old Aaron T. Cross and 41-year-old Shawn L. Burton, all of Columbus. Katherine Burton also sustained several stab wounds.
