(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis police have identified a dead person found Sunday morning on the southwest side of the city.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) said just before 9:30 a.m. Sunday, a woman found a body in a basement in a residence in the 1800 block of South Belmont Avenue.
Officials said the person was identified as John Sullivan, 49, of Indianapolis, and his death is being investigated as a criminal homicide.
Detectives said there were no full-time residents living at the home, which serves as a sort of dog rescue center.
