(HENRY CO.) - A 41-year-old Richmond man died in a weather-related crash Sunday.
Troopers were called to the scene of a two-vehicle crash at US 40 and State Road 3 at the south SR3 and US 40 split at around 5:45 pm. They arrived to find a white Ford F-150 and a Toyota Camry in the middle of US 40 eastbound.
Troopers believe that the Camry, driven by Christopher M. Hudson of Richmond, was northbound on SR3 approaching the US 40 intersection and was traveling too fast for the existing snow-covered road conditions.
The Camry was unable to stop at the stop sign at the intersection and slid into the path of the truck, which was eastbound on US 40. The truck, driven by Connie Pendleton, age 60 of Dublin, was unable to avoid hitting the Camry in the driver's door.
Hudson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Coroner. Connie Pendleton, the driver of the Ford truck, was taken to Henry County Memorial Hospital with complaint of pain and unknown injuries.
