(FORT WAYNE) - Fort Wayne officials are investigating the cause of a fire that evacuated three stores yesterday.
Fire crews were called to the newly opened Art Van Furniture Store just after 9PM with report of a structure fire. At least a dozen trucks were called to the scene because of the size of the building.
The furniture store and neighboring Dick's Sporting Goods and Petco all had to be evacuated.
Crews got the blaze under control by 10 PM, however they remained in the area for at least an hour checking hot spots in the wall and clearing the area.
There were no injuries and the damage to the furniture store is unknown.
