(UNDATED) - The developer of the mobile app “Flappy Bird” says he is taking the game down because he “can’t take it anymore.”
Players who already have the game downloaded won't see it disappear, but it won't appear in Apple's App Store or Google Play anymore.
Creator of the Flappy Bird game, Dong Nguyen, tweeted Saturday "I'm sorry 'Flappy Bird' users, 22 hours from now, I will take 'Flappy Bird' down."
Nguyen later tweeted that it had nothing to do with legal problems, that his game was not for sale, and that he does still make games.
Flappy Bird was at the top of the Free Games charts on both iTunes and Google Play.
Players find the game frustrating yet addicting as they try to maneuver a small bird around pipes by continuously tapping the screen.
