(FORT WAYNE) - Fort Wayne police say they’re investigating the shootings of five men within 25 minutes.
The shootings Sunday morning left one of the men in critical condition, two in serious condition, and the remaining two in good condition.
Fort Wayne police spokesman Officer Chris Felton says evidence shows a "gun battle" occurred at one location but no victims, vehicles, or witnesses were found there. He says investigators don't know whether the shootings are related.
Felton says officers called to one scene about 4:30 a.m. found two gunshot victims that were transported to a hospital. Ten minutes later, a second hospital reported two men arrived there with gunshot wounds, and five minutes later, a third hospital reported it had a shooting victim, too.
