Gibson County Inmate Found Dead

(GIBSON CO.) The Gibson County Jail was on lockdown Sunday after officials say an inmate was found dead in his cell.

It happened around 11 am when the 41-year-old inmate apparently hung himself.

Another inmate was inside the cell at the time and he told authorities he was asleep when it happened.

Corrections officers tried to save the inmate, but he died at the jail. Authorities say foul play is not suspected.
