(CHRISNEY) - A liquor store in Chrisney became the victim of an armed robbery Wednesday afternoon, and the State Police is asking for your assistance.
At approximately 3:02 p.m. central time, a man wearing a ski-mask, entered the North Side Liquor Store, at 306 North Main Street, in Chrisney. The man walked up to the counter, displayed a handgun, and ordered the store clerk to give them the money from the cash register.
The clerk complied, handing the masked gunman a sum of money. The man took the money and left the scene on foot, heading eastbound.
The Spencer County Sheriff's Department arrived on scene and began the initial investigation. They later requested Indiana State Police investigators to assume the lead role.
The man is described as a white, approximately 5-foot-11 inches to 6-foot-tall with a medium build.
The man was wearing a black ski-mask, a black or dark gray jacket with a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath, gray athletic shorts with white trim, and white tennis shoes with black trim.
