(MUNCIE) - A Muncie man has been charged with sexual exploitation and two counts of attempting to sexually exploit a minor.
U.S. attorney Joe Hogsett held a news conference in Delaware County at noon on the charges against 55-year-old Darrell Hughes.
Authorities say Hughes was a middle and high school counselor. He's worked in a number of schools in Henry County with at-risk youth.
The charges involve five male victims who had interactions with Hughes dating back to 2008.
One alleged victim told detectives the suspect gave him marijuana and alcohol and invited him to spend the night and take showers at Hughes' home.
Another victim said there were hidden cameras in the bathroom. Another victim says Hughes gave him the drug Ecstasy.
