(MUNSTER) - A Munster firefighter suffered a fatal heart attack Saturday after returning home from responding to a car crash.
59-year-old Munster Fire Chief James Knesek was a veteran with the department. He worked for the City of Muster and director of public works for 34 years. He leaves behind his wife, Julie, and son, James, Jr., who is also a firefighter.
Funeral arrangements were pending as of Sunday morning.
