(ELNORA ) - 44-year-old Brent Dalrymple, head boys basketball coach and assistant principal at North Daviess High School, is facing multiple charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated after he was arrested last fall in Johnson County.
Dalrymple is facing charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, OWI With a blood-alcohol content of at least .08 percent, but less than .15 percent, OWI endangerment and disregarding a traffic control device.
Dalrymple was arrested after he was stopped for the traffic violation and failed a field sobriety test and blew a .09 on a breath test.
North Daviess School Superintendent Robert Bell says Dalrymple notified him about the incident after the arrests.
According to Franklin City court documents, Dalrymple was stopped just after midnight on Oct. 20, 2013, after he failed to stop for a stop light on County Line Road and Ind. 37. He was released from jail after posting a $1,000 bond. Dalrymple had pled not guilty to the charge. A bench trial is scheduled for April 9.
Bell says school officials are waiting for the outcome of the trail before taking any action against Dalrymple
Dalrymple says, on the advice of his attorney, he will not comment on the arrest.
