(INDIANAPOLIS) - One civilian and two firefighters were injured in a house fire in Wayne Township on Wednesday morning.
Wayne Township Fire was dispatched to a home in the 1100 block of South Tudor Avenue, where heavy fire was reported.
Firefighters said when the call first came out, they could see the fire from their firehouse on West Washington Street.
Capt. Mike Pruitt with Wayne Township said one civilian male was injured in the house, and the home itself is a total loss. The injured civilian had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.
Pruitt said one firefighter had to be rescued when he fell about 20 feet through two floors in the house, but the firefighter was in good condition and was walking at the scene. This firefighter was taken to IU Methodist Hospital to be checked out.
Pruitt said a second firefighter had a slight injury to his knee.
