(AVON) - Police have a suspect in custody after a taxi driver was robbed in Avon.
Avon Police got the call around 2:20 pm Thursday. The taxi driver told police that he picked up a man who asked to go to Walmart, but then attempted to rob the driver. After the robbery, the taxi driver flagged down an officer.
A police officer spotted the suspect running to a nearby mobile home park.
A police K-9 found the suspect, a 17-year-old man, hiding under a trailer. Police arrested the suspect, who was bitten by the dog.
The cab driver was not injured.
Some schools were under a brief lockdown.
