(JOHNSON CO.) - Ten adults were arrested and 14 juveniles were sent home to their families after police broke up an underage drinking party in Johnson County over the weekend.
The owner of the home contacted the Johnson County Sheriff's Office while out of town after hearing his step-son, who doesn't live at the home, may have been in the house with a group of people without permission.
Deputies found 23 people in the house who had been drinking alcohol -- all underage. The step-son, Austin Lohman, told investigators he wanted to have people over at the house after a high school basketball game, according to a police report. One of the juveniles was so drunk, he was passed out in the basement and had to be taken to the hospital.
In all, 13 juveniles were arrested for illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. They were then released to their parents. According to the police report, the juveniles' BAC ranged from .01 to .12.
There were an additional nine adults arrested who were under 21 and had been drinking, according to the police report. They were Summer Arsenault, Bailey Wininger, Cameron Woods, Jorge Coronado, Shawn Luna, Larry Berry, Adolfo Ibarra, Zachariah Blanchard and Clayton Moore. Their BAC ranged from .02 to .08.
Lohman, 18, was arrested on a preliminary charge of residential entry.
The party was broken up late Friday night in the 4800 block of Brentridge Parkway.
