(LAPORTE) - The former superintendent of a northern Indiana school district and his wife face burglary, fraud and other charges involving an Illinois casino.
57-year-old Rande Thorpe and his 59-year-old wife, Virginia, are accused of taking part in a ring that digitally manipulated video keno machines at a Joliet, Ill., casino.
The Post-Tribune of Merrillville reports the couple, who are now Corpus Christi, Texas, residents, are charged with burglary, computer fraud, computer tampering and cheating at a gambling game.
They were released after posting bail and a judge allowed them to return to Texas while the case is pending.
